Outlook For Mac 2011 Sending Gmail

Thunderbird kind of worked but was a royal PITA to work with (or at least to configure it to the way I wanted it to work). Free email software. Truly, it has exceeded my expectations. I have a 'relatively slow' Internet connection, and Outlook would fall over repeatedly, timing out, regardless of how I configured it.

I have a single user that cannot send email from the Mac after migrating to Exchange 2013 on-prem. I myself am on the same Exchange server and am using a Mac with Office 2011 and am able to send/receive emails without any issues. When the user sends an email it goes to the sent mail folder. Hi, According to your description, I find. This feature is not available right now. Please try again later.

Hi Cwdel, First of all, to get the best response of such queries (Outlook for Mac) you should post this thread on the give forums (It’s specially for Mac users): But I would like to highlight some tips, might be it will resolve your bug. This error occurs when the SMTP connection (server) won’t accept the plain text connection, but enabling the “Server requires an SSL Connection” and start using “StartTLS” option can solve this one. Go and turn on this one from the “Advanced Setting” option in Outlook MAC 2011. Note: Also check your basic server settings along with port numbers and SSL encryptions. Thanks Clark Kent.

Hi Clark In the past I have tried turning on SSL on both the pop and Imap accounts and here is what i get. 5.7.1: Client host rejected: Access denied Cannot send mail. The SMTP server does not recognize any of the authentication methods supported by Outlook.

Try changing the SMTP authentication options in Account settings or contact your network administrator. Account name: 'Esedona' I do not see where to change the SMTP authentication method to something it will accept.

Unfortunately we also have never found a place to select 'StartTLS'. I have talked with Apple support but they say talk to Microsoft. I have had my ISP tech here and check all settings but was unable to resolve. Still an Outlook for Mac issue based on all the post I have seen online. Your thoughts? I will also post this to the other forum you suggested.
