October 21, 2018 I have a 2009 Mac Pro (with 5.1 firmware) and this graphics card works great with the machine. Currently using with a Samsung 34” curved monitor (with thunderbolt). I am using the HDMI output of the Sapphire and no issues at all. Except it does not pass audio.
