I did look at my last purchase of annual subscription and thanks to RFD recalled there was a sale on amazon third party vendor for $25/year in May 2016 (that was hot for personal edition!). Wish I had bought more at the time! My use is almost entirely iPad Pro so this is the best option for me. And as other have said it allows work files to be opened pretty seamlessly so that is helpful along with cheap cloud storage. The fact that the personal edition also comes with a PC/Mac (x1) and smart phone (x1) subscriptions is only a secondary benefit for me.
