How To Get Zip Files To Work On The Sims 4 For Mac

Sorry, I am asking on this site, but I am trying to get help fast & everyone seems to respond quicker on this site than the TSR site--which is where I am trying to install custom content from. I Need help please installing items/lots. I have downloaded them & can see them in the zip program. I tried highlighting a few of them & selected Extract, and then selected the Sims 4 Mod folder.

Aiseesoft video converter registration code. They did not go into my game. I really don't know how to use a zip program.

You can only upload files of type PNG, JPG, or JPEG. You can only upload files of type 3GP, 3GPP, MP4, MOV, AVI, MPG, MPEG, or RM. You can only upload photos smaller than 5 MB. If Winrar doesn't work, here's 7-zip. It's a free decompressor, and it's what I use. It's a free decompressor, and it's what I use. When it asks you about 32- and 64- bit, go to start, run the program called dxdiag, and look at the info under Operating System.

I have questions about the different types of files also. I know that the Package files need to be placed in the Mods folder, and any Sims or Lots must be placed into the Sims Tray folder.

I have 4 different types of files. What do I do with the other? Package File----into Mod folder Tray Item---into Tray Folder Blueprint File----into??

BPI file----into??? What steps do I take to install these files into my game? Please be specific---yet simple. I use Windows 8; 2nd ed. I think it is just using the generic Windows zip program--not sure. Double-click the.zip file.

It will extract into the same folder. The feature is built into Windows 8. You can do one of the following: 1) Move the zip file into your mods folder (or its subfolders). Double-click to extract. Shuffle photo order for slideshow mac. You'll see new files in a few seconds. Delete the original zip file.

Or put it somewhere else to keep a backup of it. 2) Double-click on the zip file in whatever folder you're in. You'll see new files in a few seconds.

Take those files and place them in your mods folder (or its subfolders). Thank you, Kremesch73, Simasaurus09, & colton147 for responding so quickly.

I will continue to try working with the files to see what I can do. I honestly do not have ANY experience with zip programs--I feel so dumb! I have had the Sims games since the Sims 1--but really have never had to use zip for anything. Any step by step process would help. (I will try double clicking, though). BTW--what ever happened to the automatic program that TSR used for Sims 1 ( & 2?) that downloaded & installed all of your TSR content into the correct folders in your Sims game for you? I had stopped visiting TSR for one reason or another & didn't go back much to look--so never knew when they stopped using that program.

Now I really wish they still had that & could really use it! It was great! Thanks again for your help!

I think the file structure was just easier for S1. I never really modded it. So I couldn't really say. I know S2 had some files that could be installed as packages, but most were just unzipped into the Downloads folder.
