The native resolution of my Samsung Syncmaster is equal to the native one (1440x900). In the NVIDIA Control Panel I found the 'scaling' where there are 3 choices aspect-ratio/full-screen/no-scaling. It was on aspect ratio and I left it there. Should that be turned to no-scaling? Before having receid this message I updated my GeForce 7600GS chipset software to the latest version. Looking further than my nose I found there is an 'AUTO' button on my screen which I used, assuming this would look for the best setting. Have not seen the problem since I did this.
